Alpha Dominance

I’ve pointed this fact out before but it bears reiteration.  Women at the peak of their fertility are the most likely group to be attracted to Alpha males for short-term encounters.  They identify them by their scent and secondary sexual characteristics that demonstrate high testosterone levels.

In times past, prior to electric light and hormonal contraception, women’s cycles were often linked to the lunar cycle.  For some women this still holds true, though it’s probably far from the majority.  Nonetheless, paying attention to the lunar cycle can give you an edge in judging women’s potential receptivity.

If you are in a relationship this is definitely something to keep track of.  Always be aware of your woman’s last period and watch out for ‘girl’s nights out’ and the like two weeks thereafter.  Once you get to know your woman’s cycle you can usually clock it to the moon provided she isn’t going on and off the pill sporadically thereby throwing the cycle out of whack.

For women you aren’t presently dating, watch for cues like women dressed revealingly, and showing more skin, exaggerated movements, high self-confidence, and a rosy flush to her cheeks.  You may also find yourself doing double takes on women who have walked past you, despite having gotten a clear look at them the first time.  This is a common sign of subconsciously registered fertility pheromones and combined with the other cues is a strong indicator of her fertility.  This woman is highly open to being approached.  Seize the moment.

Interestingly this article also suggests that she’s not always looking for a short term encounter buy may simply be seeking to replace her current partner, good news for the less than Alpha men, since she’s usually looking for a beta provider for anything long-term.  Either way she’s most receptive to new encounters at this time, particularly if she is presently in a relationship.  She may just be looking for a fling, or she may be looking to blow out her present flame.

Doctoral candidate Kristina Durante and Assistant Professor of Psychology Norm Li published their findings in the Proceedings of the Royal Society of London: Biology Letters.

“The study offers further evidence that physiological mechanisms continue to play a major role in guiding women’s sexual motivations and behavior,” Durante said.

Durante and Li investigated the relationship between oestradiol, an ovarian hormone linked to fertility, and sexual motivation in a study of 52 female undergraduates not using contraception. Participants’ ages ranged from 17 to 30 years old.

The researchers measured the participants’ hormone levels at two points during each woman’s ovulatory cycle and then asked them to rate their own physical attractiveness. Independent observers also rated the participants’ physical attractiveness.

Participants also answered survey questions that measured their propensity to cheat on a partner.

The researchers found that a woman’s oestradiol level was positively associated with self-perceived physical attractiveness. Women with a higher oestradiol level also reported a greater likelihood of flirting, kissing and having a serious affair (but not a one-night stand) with a new partner.

Oestradiol levels were negatively associated with a woman’s satisfaction with her primary partner.

“Our findings show that highly fertile women are not easily satisfied by their long-term partners and are motivated to seek out more desirable partners,” Durante explained. “However, that doesn’t mean they’re more likely to engage in casual sex. Instead, they adopt a strategy of serial monogamy.”

Incidentally, certain women also have generally higher levels of female hormones regardless of their phase in their cycle.  These women have good expression of secondary female sexual characteristics, caused by estrogen, such as neoteny and an hourglass shape.  In other words, they are hot.  If so though, you better bring your ‘A’ game because these women get approached constantly and will shit-test you strongly in the beginning.  These women too are more likely to feel the siren’s call of infidelity more strongly just as those who are on their cycle, but for them the threshold is always lower although it too cycles.

Always remember to watch for these cues.  Half of good game is picking the winners from the start.  The other half is execution.  If you are starting out and your execution is weak, picking receptive women will buy you a little slack.  It may be enough to make the difference between ending up in a coyote ugly situation and bangin’ a honey.  Always be watching for such non-verbal cues.  They are far more powerful than the spoken ones.
